Welcome to the World of Avatar, which your characters is now in — whether AU, or dragged through the magic of time and space. Is your character from any of the four nations? Are they a bender, or not? Are they an able chi-blocking artist, or do they sell cabbages out in the streets of the Fire Nation, Ba Sing Se, or even in the South Pole? Do they have to ride the large naval ships of the Fire Nation to get across, or do they have access via beautiful steampunk-inspired ships...?

▶ SCENARIO SUGGESTIONS
1. Welcome, Avatar — You are the Avatar. Enjoy learning all four kinds of bending! And, perhaps, the secret fifth one.
2. Cactus Juice — Thirsty in the Si Wong Desert, or wherever you happen to be? Not a problem, open up a cactus and enjoy the juice, or buy it from the establishment nearby. It's trippy.
3. Fight Fight Fight! — You're challenged to a duel, or an Agni Kai — save your honor! Or disrupt it, whatever sets you on fire.
4. Pro-bending — We hope you know the rules. If you're the Avatar, please stick to one element or you're disqualified. Don't you want to win?
5. Chi-blocked — Suddenly, your bending abilities were taken away! Or were you the one that blocked their skills?
6. There is no war in Ba Sing Se — Get ready to escape Lake Laogai, if you can, or are you there to save someone?
7. Underground Library — The Knowledge Spirit has allowed you to read.
8. I'm ready, Sifu — Are you a bender, a humble fighter, or a beginner? Either way, your training starts now! Impress your masters, have fun with your classmates.
9. Is that a Polar bear-dog? — One animal plus one animal makes a crazy combination! Ready to ride a sky bison, or are you ready to run from a pack of armadillo lions?
10. The Cave of Two Lovers — Were you bothered by a band of hippies, and ended up here? Good luck finding your way out. Maybe the riddle they told you would be useful right now. ("Love is brightest in the dark.")
11. Cart riding in Omashu — Using the delivery system as your personal slide. Don't crash into too many houses, now.
12. Kyoshi Island — Want to ride the large Elephant Koi, or the Unagi? Or are you exploring, or a protector of the Island?
13. Wildcard — Lost in a swamp, losing yourself in the Avatar state, or did you drink the wrong tea? The choice is yours!

I. Um, can't really without my hand?

[UN... COMFORTABLE!!! Side eyeing his grandfather a little because EFF WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU AGREE TO THIS YOU OLD BASTARD]

[She steps forward, drawing his hand closer to an area that would have totally scandalized their grandparents...if they weren't, y'know...them. Then she gently releases his wrist and looks at him expectantly.]

[.....WELL HE IS SCANDALIZED OKAY. His eye falls nervously, except then he ends up just staring at her so he forces his gaze up towards the ceiling instead. Okay, deep breaths Kal she's just a girl]

[Right. Okay, focuses on her again, stepping back so he has the space to poke both her shoulders at the same time which will, indeed, drop those last couple of barriers that would've faded within the hour if she just had patience gosh!]

[Still not meeting her eyes when he's done though]

[She bows, now every inch the proper lady, then glides back to her side of the field and assumes a starting position that at first glance seems much more passive than the previous one. She waits for the Baron's signal, still smiling amicably.]

[hhhh he's already pretty sure he's going to regret this but... the Baron doesn't really tolerate whining and she seems pretty determined and uuuuugh]

[So yeah, he gets into the same stance, but this time he moves the very moment the Baron has met both their eyes and signaled. And turns out she wasn't the only one holding back a little bit because he's quicker too, trying to close the distance between them and sweep out her feet before she can get to... whatever it was she's going to be serious about now]

[She moves just as quickly, but merely curls her fingers and sweeps her arm to the side.

And then his own feet are knocked out from under him as though dragged by an invisible rope, giving her time to nimbly put some space between them again.]

[Wh... aaaaaaaaat. Well he hits the ground rather hard for not expecting a fall any time soon, and... okay, the Baron has now taken an interest??? If anyone is even paying attention to him, he's leaned forward, chin balanced on his steepled fingers]

[Kalfour though... takes probably more time then he needs to getting back up, trying to figure out what all even happened there. Once he falls back into his stance, he doesn't approach again. Circling. Waiting. She's now being studied by two generations of Samedis. Joy???]

[Lily merely looks on in amusement, sipping her tea elegantly to hide a smirk. She may be an Earthbender, but she was an underground champion back in the day. She taught her girl right.

Said girl is showing much less mercy than the last time around. Two short, rhythmic motions have poor Kalfour jolted to the side, his wrists smacking together as if they were magnetized. And then there's a root in exactly the wrong place, that may or may not have been there moments ago.]

[Yuuuup tripping over that, though he's surprisingly nimble and manages to roll with it, getting back on his feet and moving to close the distance again]

[Okay, he's got it. She can control his body? That... sucks... a lot??? He hates his grandfather for this a little bit, but whatever. Can't give up now or he'll get an earful about it later]

[Lucky, lucky Komesh gets even more of an opportunity to let that hate fester! She shoves her arms forward and he gets to do an impromptu cartwheel backwards. It's almost elegant, really.

...less elegant is what happens next. Chrysi makes a move that almost looks like a particularly violent victory punch, and roots erupt from the ground to tangle over his feet and legs.]

[OH FOR FUCK'S SAKE. He can't stop the rather undignified yelp as he's flipped, nor the frustrated growl in his throat once the roots wrap around him]

[Alright, now he's really got it. Thanks Baron, you're a dick. He is giving the old people over there such a look really, and for juuuust a second his breathing... changes? Gets deeper, broader, like he's suddenly taking far more air in then before, but he'd rather give up then firebend tbqh so that stops being a thing pretty quickly]

[His hands do not drop, and he's testing these roots to see if he might be able to kick them down somehow, keeping half an eye on Chrysi as he struggles]

[Chrysi's eyes narrow at that, because if there's one thing Grandmamma taught her it's to always expect a trick, dirty or otherwise, from one's opponent. So, feeling that her honor has been sufficiently restored, she decides to end this.

Her hands glide in front of her in a deceptively gentle, artful manner that would not have been out of place in the routine of a street dancer. In response, Kalfour's snap up to lock firmly around his own throat. Not enough to strangle--yet--but enough to be uncomfortable. She offers him a bit of friendly advice.]

You should probably yield now.

[Oh Chrysi... You underestimate two things here. First, how deeply ingrained the Baron's teachings are in him at this point. He does not yield until he's been beaten bloody and even then he might try to keep going. And second, how little regard for his own life he's got]

[He does not answer except to smile carefully and tilt his head back a little, staring at the ceiling. There is a very fine line here. For as little thought as he gives his life, there are parts of him that will not let him die, that are already starting to buzz faintly in his head. His breath shifts again and stays shifted this time. On the sidelines, the Baron grins. Careful, girl :|b]

[She waits, and when no forfeit comes, sighs. She's not an idiot, really, and the audible click of her grandmother's teacup being set down is just even more incentive to watch her step. She does not become cocky, she does not grandstand about how he has no chance, and she stays a good distance away.]

Okay then. We'll do it that way.

[And she clenches her hands. His own tighten, not enough to crush anything permanently, but if he doesn't do something he has only a couple minutes before he passes out.]

[...he actually does wait... probably longer then he should really. But this is just such a surreal thing that's happening right now! Being choked by his own hands. Hm]

[Eventually, he lets out this... sound, something perhaps eerily similar to the Baron's usual cackle if it happened to be done nearly breathless, and then he--]

I give. [--says this with the very last bit of his air. AHAHA and his grandfather goes stone cold stiff on the sidelines]

[They will probably have words about this later. Kalfour is pretty sure he's won this particular round though 8>]

[And with that, Chrysi brightens right up, flicking her fingers and letting him breathe. Another move sends the roots slowly slithering back into the ground. By the time they're gone, she's kneeling at his side and gently running her fingers over his throat to inspect the damage.]

Tch. Stubborn...you almost cut it too close there.

[Hm... idk how closely she checked those roots out as they retreated, but the bases were totally scorched? Oh well, doesn't matter now because he is back to being awkward about someone being this close to him. Folds his hands rather tightly in front of him, staying carefully still for her]

Would you have, maybe, really killed me...? [WHAT A MORBID QUESTION??]

[She continues her investigation, ignoring her grandmother's suggestive chuckles, and gives him an equally morbid answer.]

Oh, goodness no! If I had wanted to kill you I would have done so immediately and made your tongue rip itself out or something like that. But suffocation is tricky, you know? you might have damaged yourself. If you had lasted much longer I would have probably let go of your hands and just pull all the blood to your head.

[WELL... OKAY... THEN.......]

Oh... Well I guess maybe that's a good thing to know...

[lksjdf he doesn't even really know what to say to that!!! Also I guess, heads up he's got Hella Burn Scars that just start to show along the edge of his shirt? They match the ones around his eye so it's probably not a mystery where they came from, but yeah... there's that]

Can you breathe okay? Are you seeing black spots anywhere? Are you dizzy?

[She idly traces one of the marks, her brow furrowing.]

Yes-- [Grabs her wrist!! Very nearly 'eep'ing at the contact, glancing down at her hand... then back up to her... What are you doing please stop]

Yes, I'm. Fine.

[Grandmamma looks unsettlingly interested now.]

[Baron is side eyeing you Grandmamma, even if he's rather interested himself...]

Um. No, I don't really think so. I just. Wish that maybe you wouldn't... [Touch his scars? Pushes her wrist back towards and lets it go. Quieter: ] Please don't.
