[Faye knows what she's doing ninety eight of the time. With one percent, she acts like she knows what she's doing, until she eventually figures it out. With the other one percent she admits that she has no clue and just plays things by ear.

Donovan feels very hard and strong against her, a funny thing when he's looking to her for direction. So much of Donovan is hard and resilient and unyielding, but his lips aren't like that at all. Common sense would say they wouldn't be, and yet it's a pleasant and welcome surprise, nonetheless. She wonders if he can feel her heart beat, and the thought excites and scares her in measures that she's glad to say aren't quite equal. While she could, she doesn't mean for this to go on forever. There'd be time enough for that later.
Still, it's hard to think of later when she has this amazing, scary thing, wonderful thing right now.
