[ He makes no reply. He just reaches down to try and tug his coat from Mandya's grasp. It doesn't seem like her words reached him. He might not have even been listening to her at all.

(He wasn't. All he wants now is to get out of here and away from Mandya so he can deal with all the hurt he's feeling right now.) ]

[ she just grips tighter and frowns through her tears. she knows this behavior. he's being stubborn. ]

[ and with that last statement, she suddenly throws herself at the back of his knees, wrapping her arms around his legs. experience in the game has taught her that brute force gets her nowhere, but dirty tricks that take advantage of weaknesses gets her everywhere. she's hoping that her weight and momentum applied at the weak point of his legs will knock him off balance and stop him from running away ]

[ Mandya has managed to knock him to his knees. He's definitely not going anywhere any time soon. Does that mean he'll listen now? Maybe. But there's nothing stopping Eighis from interpreting everything Mandya says in the worst possible way. Or worse, disbelieving it entirely and blowing it off. ]
